I ought to confine myself to the newbies list where I won't make such a
donkey of myself! The Sun monitor I'm using (ebay special) has an Autosize
adjustment on it and wigged out over a resolution change. Hitting the
button a few times fixed both systems.
Happy Weekend everyone!

Hi all,
I've got a weird thing I cannot figure out. 2 systems are involved here.
First system is a mutt that I use to mess around on and if I break it, who
cares? Recently, the main panel just disappeared, but it come back when I
lower the display resolution to 640x480 and then it works just fine. I
wasn't too woried about it until...
System #2 is the system I do all my work on and I try not to mess with it so
I don't break it. Well, I installed Red Hat 9 on it tonight and the main
panel wont appear when I set the display resolution to 800x600. It is a
fresh install. Does the same weird thing when I make the change as root or
when I make the change logged in as a user and have to enter the root
password. I'm using Rage Pro Turbo chipset on system 1 and a nVidia GeForce
2 MX on system #2. What do I need to do to get these main panels to appear
at resolutions higher than 640x480?

Thank you
Thane
