        QTParted has worked well for me. (http://qtparted.sourceforge.net). It's 
included in recent Knoppix distributions, and I think Mandrake's installer 
uses the same codebase for its diskdrake partition management tool (And 
several times I've used the first Mandrake cd to do excellent repartitioning, 
though the knoppix cd is better-suited to that). Both can do ntfs as well as 
the rest. 
        Though I bet with a non-resource-intensive window manager like WindowMaker or 
that weird y-sounding one Andrew McNabb uses (especially if you toss in the 
2.6 kernel), you could run linux fine. As far as I'm concerned, ANYTHING to 
not have to run Windows 98...  Good luck.
