Lot's of small files/dirs is exactly what reiser is best at. If you aren't worried about the space it takes, over performance, use the notail method on it. This gives less optimization towards balancing the trees, and more towards getting it done (still small, just tuning towards your needs). XFS is great, but best for large files, like databases and multimedia. Especially when you want to edit just parts of it. Both are great, just use the right tool for the job to get the best results. -- -- Jayce^
