"I write code so you don't have to." It's people like that that you just want to hug. (Tis the season of mistletoe.) And it's just very CLEVER. Of course, I saw it on www.thinkgeek.com, so maybe that phrase is copyrighted. Then I would want to spew. (Not S.P.E.W.) Basically, I just think this phrase is the essence of free software. Code you can take and tailor to your own specific needs. And these selfless coding people need to be acknowledged and thanked, not shunned as "commies" or pirates. And maybe it will help the public opinion of *nix users, or something, since most reporters mirror the common knowledge of the general public and paint an interesting (but innaccurate) picture of *nix users. (Wishful thinking?) Since shirts are a walking bilboard anyhow, this one might as well have an agenda. Maybe that phrase should be on the front and a quickie explanation of the GPL should be on the back, with a gnu and a penguin ... braiding a Maypole[1] ...
