Yeah. If I open up a new buffer (:new) and :set filetype=php in it, I get c-style auto indenting (inside braces -- it doesn't automagically add an indent level between the <?php ... ?> tags, and may or may not automagically indent the HTML code) and syntax highlighting. I'm using 6.2.98, but any 6.* should be sufficient for php, I should think.
