You should note that they only can re-license the code because they own
all the copyrights. Any users making contributions are required to
assign copyrights to MySQL AB. So Linus could not take Linux and start
his own proprietary OS with it because all the individual coders own
their own submissions.

In that case you're making money licensing proprietary code.
