Does anyone know a good site where I can learn about authentication, 
web form passwords, SSL, https, etc.?

For instance:
* Is one way more secure than another for authenticating and using 
passwords without using SSL?
* How does SSL work; what is the process that moves a web page from 
http to https and from port 80 to port 443?
* What do I need to get a secure website (SSL) and where can I learn 
more?
