That is not how I see it. The governement is not that evil, and the private industry is not that good. In fact, the private industry would get us into big trouble if the government was not there to set the rules on what you can or cannot do. The goverment could do a good job in industries that accomplish more good for the society that the profit they would be able to generate. Perhaps a fast Internet connection infrastructure is one of those areas.
