>From the PLUG list:

It's been another year, and Plug is now 8, and we have a fun meeting. Local
Perl hacker (hoser) Joseph Hall (http://www.josephhall.com/) is also a
trained chef. And thusly we present the following topic:

Cooking: The Ultimate Hack. Throughout the centuries, many great (and many not
so great) chefs have been hiding a way of life, one that has only relatively
recently been discovered by those who now call ourselves geeks. What was once
a noble art known only to the kitchen staff has turned into a science,
explored by the likes of authors and personalities such as Robert Wolke,
Shirley Corriher and Alton Brown. Join us as Hacker Chef Joseph Hall taps
into this world and demonstrates how the only difference between cooking and
programming is the medium.

Wednesday Sept 8th 2004

Free to attend, but if you would like to actually *eat* what is prepared, you
will *need* to RSVP before Wednesday, and there will be a slight charge to
cover the food. Estimated at $3 (price subject to the # of participants).
Email me off list to verify that you will bring the money for food.

If you don't care about the eating, well, it's still free to show up.
