Jaron
Engineer will develop device drivers and software for embedded system
point-of-sale terminals. Assists with specification signoff and
management of manufacturing partner for point-of-sale terminal
manufacturing. Works with other software engineers on software
development projects using Java, C/C++, PHP, etc. Relocation packages
are currently not offered.
Education and Experience:
* Minimum of a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or
related field, or equivalent experience.
* 3+ years of solid experience in the computer industry.
* 2+ years real-time embedded system design & development
* Experience in reviewing and critiquing technical hardware specs
* Experience with database development is a must.
* Proven experience with at least one embedded real-time
environment is a must.
* Proven software development experience in C, C++, Java or similar language
* Strong protocol development experience is essential
Skills:
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail
* A strong understanding of quality development practices,
including product design, code design, engineering techniques, etc.
* Ability to work closely and cooperatively with other engineers,
developers, senior management, and others.
* Ability to problem solve through creative and analytical thinking.
* Ability to grasp new technologies & react to changes in a
fast-paced environment.
