A hack ( with all the possible negative side effects, of course):
rpm --force --nodeps -e perl rpm --force --nodeps -i perl*.rpm
Or, as was suggested earlier, take control, and build Perl from source. But you never know - with the RH drive for innovation you might need to replace the complier and libc first :-)
