I was using the hfsplus module in the 2.4.26 (debian) kernel. this is the message I got when I did this (in syslog):
Nov 13 07:42:06 rome kernel: HFS+-fs: unable to find HFS+ superblock
After this, I apt-got hfsplus, and used hpmount to try to mount the drive, but I received this error upon to try it:
hpmount: /dev/sda1: Neither Wrapper nor native HFS+ volume header found (Unknown error 4294967295)
I'll look around a bit more to see if I can find anything else.
