I've been installing quite a few things from source (or at least trying to) on my Mac as I try to build the dependencies for GRAMPS. Every time I want to build of course, I run
./configure make make install The configures check many of the same things. Is there a convenient way to set a variable somewhere saying what the max argument length is, and if we're using the Fortran compiler, and a bunch of the other thinks it checks for? It would greatly reduce the time I sit waiting!
