In my work I regularly deal with things like credit card information, access 
to credit processing and records, etc.  Encryption is a necessity for my 
work.  Processors *require* me to use it with work.  Visa, MC, etc require it 
for parts of our code.  Legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley (man I'm sick of 
those words) require I use stuff like this.

Sure, just sending to the list, my signing doesn't mean all that much usually.  
But in work, I need it for certain things.
