I've been too swamped to post this to the list yet, but this is an important point that hasn't really been covered. Topher has considerably less time and experience with the UUG than the other candidates. From what I've seen, he's really only been involved this semester, while the other candidates have at least two years of experience with the club. One of these candidates will not be around after next year, but Topher will be.

In many ways, the UUG can be considered a service organization, as we advocate OSS, and help each other become more familiar with *nix and it's wonderful ability to improve whatever we'd like to do with our lives. The President should embody these ideals, and have proven their desire to serve others by involvement in the club. Next year when Topher has shown his dedication to the UUG and what it stands for, then we can vote for him, but as it stands, lets get somebody in office who's proven that they will put in what it takes to make the UUG a great community to be involved in.

Incidentally, I won't be around two more full years and would like to further endorse my candidacy for both the librarian position and the Propraganda director (assuming "the man" relents and accepts my valid nomination). I'll adress this in a following message.

Scott K <-- Vote me for Librarian!
