Hmm.  I have that same file.  Now what...?  Are you sure that your
mplayer uses the wmv9 codec when playing the church broadcasts?  Does
anyone know how to force it to use a particular codec (I almost asked
*if* there was a way, but this is mplayer we're talking about)?
