Ubuntu 5.10 was released earlier this morning!! The torrent files are very hot right now, there's a list (http://releases.ubuntu.com/5.10/) of both torrents and ftp/http download links.
One of the big features is called "Edubuntu" which is an OS for an educational setting (that's right, it's for you). On a very important sidenote Microsoft Vista build 5231 was leaked today... I hear this one has IE 7 with tabbed browsing ^_^ and a new revision of Windows Media Player.
