Has anybody tried Xgl/compiz on their laptop? I've got a notebook with a
128MB Radeon Mobility and something's not so hunky-dory. I found a few
posts that say there are issues with the ATI notebook cards and Xgl, but
I'm still hopeful.

I'm also running Dapper, and lovin' it. Wireless works out of the box,
suspend/resume is almost fully functional (you can click the suspend
button, but the lid switch doesn't put it to sleep; it *does* wake up
when you open the lid, though ... I'm still working through my
differences with ACPI), and everything else works a hair better than in
previous releases. One other noteworthy feature is that boot time is a
fraction of what it has historically been. Long live the drake.
