I don't know, but let's say you did your CS degree, and spent your
part-time working as a Web Programmer, and you are competing for a job
with someone who did their CS degree and spent two summers working at
Microsoft, and a third candidate just went through school working
custodial. None of you will be considered "blank slates."  Experience
matters.
