Just to get Stuart going, it looks like Google did it all in Qt.  That
made it quite easy to port to all three platforms.  Blessed C++! ;)

Google Earth has always been Qt, though, so it's not like a rewrite or
anything.  Picasa, on the other hand, cannot be ported this way.  Let's
just hope that google also ports SketchUp, a project few people know
