of the mvc frameworks available for PHP, i'm kinda partial to the zoop 
framework (i'm a contributer). its one downfall is that it's seriously lacking 
in documentation right now. cake is sweet too. trax (at least when i last 
looked into it) seemed to be more a port of rails than a true php geared 
framework. not that rails is bad (it's actually quite good), but it is targeted 
toward the strengths of ruby... not php.
