Ok a question for all the Asterisk gurus out there. I would like to set
up a phone system at my house, but I'm not sure how exactly to do it.
Ok, I don't know where to start other then I think it is possible. I
would like to use a standard telephone handset, maybe multiple through
the house. The only thing is that I would rather not use a land line,
only SIP protocol using like SkypeOut or something like that. Is this
possible? What do I need? What are some references that I can refer to
for this set-up? Is it possible to use SIP from this to something like
Vontage for free? I'm sure if something like this is possible it would
be easy to create separate voicemail boxes. Maybe even integrate this
with Exchange for e-mail bound voicemail (yes I do have my own Exchange
server at home. (/me ducks flying objects)).
