UUG:

We have a Apple Xserver running OS X server v10.4.9 on a dual Power PC
G5 2.3 Ghz with 8 MB of RAM.

I have installed X11 v1.1.3 from Apple that was an update from the
original server install DVD.
I am trying to setup a X server on the server so that faculty can using
a terminal via SSH to connect remotely
to this Xserver and run X11 applications from the server and get a
graphical display on their connected client.

So far I have not been able to get it to work. Apple's website has not
really delivered any useful info as of yet.

Does Apple have a X11 server to run on the Xserve? Do I need to get a
X11 server from an open source third party to
get this to run?

If you have had success in getting this to work on an Xserver any help
or hints that you could give me would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Greg Corlett
