So. With the switch over to SchedulesDirect I've decided to give Mythbuntu a try.
Right now the 'only' part that isn't working is playback. I'm able to record a show, minimize MythTV's frontend, open MPlayer, and have it play the recording. When I try to watch live tv or a recording I only get a second or two of video and then the video turns into what looks like a static image of very small width purple lines (in a random pattern, but still straight lines from top to bottom). During this 'static image' the audio still works, and I can control MythTV as normal (play, pause, exit). I've got a WinTV PVR-150 tuner, I'm on BYU's Cable (Wymount), and I'm getting out to the TV through an NVidia FX 5500 PCI card. I upgraded the motherboard, cpu, and ram the other day as well. I have the binary drivers from NVidia installed and working. What other feedback can I provide to help diagnose the problem? -Rich -------------------- BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ The opinions expressed in this message are the responsibility of their author.
