This is my own opinion, and you certainly need to talk with the
department, advisor, etc., but sponsorship in general makes me a little
nervous.  I'm mostly okay with sponsoring of specific events (like AST
has done) like meetings or installfests.  I'm not sure if I like a
wholesale sponsoring of the club as an organization, though.

Then again, I have no leadership role with the club, so take it for what
its worth.
