My fellow UUGers, Things have been rather quiet since the elections, and some of you are probably wondering, "Wha' happened?" I'm currently working on a topic for our meeting on May 28th (we've got a GREAT presenter). I thought it would be nice of me to let people know that we /are/ having a meeting at the end of the month.
Another reason for this email is to just take an informal poll to find out how many people will consider attending meetings between now and the end of the Summer term. If you are still in the area, and plan on attending meetings that attract your interest, please make it known. I'm still trying to decide if we should do a 1/month or 2/month meeting schedule. There are plenty of people around here willing to give us great presentations, but I don't want to waste their time by having them present to just a handful of people. The other reason for this email is that I'd still like to hear people's recommendations for meeting topics (and presenter recommendations too). I'm warning you now that I have a strong inclination for programming-centric presentations. I know that we have a diverse organization, and that not everybody is interested in such topics. If you are one of these people, please let me know what you want to learn about! So ya, I'd love to have 2 meetings every month, but I currently have the impression that we just don't have the numbers for it. I honestly wish to be proven wrong.
