7:00pm Nov. 19th
Rm. 130 - Tanner Bldg

Dr. Zapalla will continue his networking presentation from Nov. 5. We
will discuss more networking topics that include learning about
iptables, the great swiss-army knife of network packet management. Need
to set up a simple firewall to block access to everything but a few
services? iptables! Want to blacklist those pesky script kiddies that
are trying to brute-force their way into your SSH server? iptables! Want
to modify the handling of tcp packets within the network stack in order
to improve throughput on wireless networks? iptables! So yeah, it's
pretty cool stuff.

Our good friends at Adaptive Computing (formerly Cluster Resources) will
be providing pizza for this meeting. If you're interested in working
for a Linux-centric company here in Provo, bring a resume and/or talk to
one of the employees that will be at the meeting.

Once again, the first 25 people to show up will get invites to preview
Google Wave!
