Actually, Rob Pike and Ken Thompson worked on it. If you're not familiar with Rob, he co-authored "The Unix Programming Environment" (http://tinyurl.com/yzgods8), a great book on shell programming, with Brian Kernighan and worked on both Unix and Plan 9 at Bell Labs. Ken Thompson was also a Unix pioneer and also worked on Plan 9. Both Rob and Ken work at Google, now. -jan- -- Jan L.
