Topher, I've been running F12 for about a month now (Beta first, alpha before that). It's the best Fedora to date. Everything Just Works(TM). I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a system working with good sound, awesome graphics and a very usable gnome/kde. If you are extremely interested in the non-free components that Fedora can't legally package without taking on the liability, you can get RPM Fusion, which is packaged in Europe, where the patent/copyright liabilities are a bit evil. Visit: http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration to get those repos in place and start getting things like VLC and other non-free software you may wish to use.
