Wow this must be a personal preference thing because I just ran GDI++ and it makes my fonts look dark and fuzzy. I definitely prefer the Cleartype look. I guess it is all what you are used to. Oddly I did notice that it worked in IE and Firefox but not in Chrome. In Chrome, the address bar and links were affected but not the main window.
