Django: An Introduction presented by: Stephen McQuay Thursday, Feb. 18 7:00pm Rm. 130 Tanner Building
Django is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. Using Django makes web programming fast and fun, and it will even make your teeth whiter. This presentation will provide an introduction to using the Django framework. We'll cover the basics of the various parts of the framework, how to get things working, and where to find help when you need it. To show how easy Django development can be, we'll build a simple video archive web site as part of the tutorial. Yes, I know we had a Django meeting last September, but Stephen volunteered to do it, and I think there should be enough interest from people that either missed the last one, or never put it to good use and forgot everything that Jeff talked about. It sounds like he has a pretty good format planned for his presentation. -- Topher Fischer BYU UUG Librarian/President http://thetopher.com -------------------- BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ The opinions expressed in this message are the responsibility of their author.
