Actually, what am I thinking? When I was in the dorms we had to rent an RS232 adapter that hooked into the Rohm phones, which we could then use with a terminal emulator or dialer program to connect to the BYU Y-Vax system, and from there use the campus modem pool to dial into the CS Department's main unix machine, burt.cs.byu.edu, and run elm, or pine to read our email. :) Those were the days. Any other alumni Y-Vax or burt users still hanging out on this list? -------------------- BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ The opinions expressed in this message are the responsibility of their author.
