I'd like to try another round of elections for UUG leadership. When we last did elections in September (see archives -- [1]), we were unable to get much interest generated.
I've been speaking with some of the current BYU CS system admins, and several of them have spoken up and indicated an interest to take a more active role in the UUG. So, I'd like to nominate Logan Gunnell as President, Brewer Johnson as Secretary, and Ross Woodside as Webmaster. Positions for Vice President (typically runner up for President if there is more than one running) and Librarian are also available. Detailed information about each position can be found in the list archives, referenced already ([1]). If you would like to help shape the future of the UUG and are a current BYU student, please nominate yourself for a position (or someone you know who is also a BYU student). If you are nominated for a position and didn't nominate yourself, please accept the nomination by replying to this thread. We will keep nominations open for a week, and if there are multiple nominations with acceptances for the same position, we will hold elections after nominations close.
