My tips? Everyone is different. Don't run faster than you are able, haha. I
was always failing (or nearly) at least one class b/c I wouldn't let myself
slacken my pace a little. Would have been better to just do it right the
first time at 3/4 pace or similar instead of trying for full-time school
and work on the side. Some people do full time school AND work, though. So
don't be afraid to push your limits to see what you're capable of. Just
don't feel bad if you aren't doing the same things as other people.

Online classes are okay for some things and terrible for others. It's a
siren song. :) It worked well for me when I paced myself, though. Granted
it was just the one class and the only one I was doing at the time.

Windows you'll probably need at some point. Dual booting isn't that hard,
though. Just make sure you get a friend who has done it before. :) Dunno
about specifically cs 142. You'd be surprised at how much they've changed
even in the past 5 years or so.

You'll figure things out. :) Just make sure to live a little, haha. You're
in college now!
