Yes, and I had arcmap crash on my machine too. Yes, three valid servers
are listed in my registry. And command line processes were affected
too. This has happened before. So what are the possibilities?
1) Hackers overwhelming all the servers
2) Runaway processes overwhelming all the servers
3) Unacceptable flaws in flexlm or it's interface to ESRI products.
4) ?
What can we do about it?

Had a similar issue around 2:15pm or so in the Sherman lab -- all of
the ArcGIS programs running in the lab froze at once. Different
students on different machines, but they all froze almost
simultaneously. Restarting ArcGIS would also result in a freeze. This
problem has since abated. I assumed it might be related to the license
server, but was unsure.
