The University Libraries is working with the Washington State Department
of Information Services to improve access to geospatial metadata from a
number of state agencies. In addition, we are expanding and updating the
infrastructure that supports the Washington State Geospatial Data Archive
(WAGDA) so that we can make that data available in a more usable form than
is currently the case. We are using ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 with the geoportal
extension, running on RedHat Enterprise Linux systems for these projects.
We are looking for a student with strong GIS skills to work with our
systems administrators and librarians to improve access to geographic data
and metadata for the campus and beyond.
