Hi gang, I'm having the dickens of a time doing something I'm pretty sure I already knew how to do. I'm trying to spatially join points to polygons, averaging the values for a particular field using field mapping. I'm using 10.2.
Regardless of what field mapping I select (average, sum, etc), the new field seems to always come up as a 0. I note the following: 1) All projections are correct, both for shapefiles and the dataframe. 2) We're using Analysis >> Overlay >> Spatial Join 3) I can "select by location" those points that intersect the polygons. They all light up. What am I missing here? best, ~joe
