The 3rd Annual UW GIS Symposium is tomorrow in the UW Libraries' Research 
Commons!

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Dan 
Brown<https://sefs.uw.edu/research/faculty-profile/dan-brown/>, Director and 
Professor, School of Environmental and Forest Sciences<https://sefs.uw.edu/>. 
Prof. Brown will talk about the benefits of advances in GIS and spatial data in 
regard to land system science (the study of social and environmental causes and 
consequences of changes in land use and land cover).

There will also be a "Tech Talk" introducing us to ESRI's Story Maps as tool to 
visualize qualitative research, followed  by a quick round of lightning talks 
and a poster walk.

Coffee and doughnuts provided!
