The 8th Annual University of Washington GIS
Symposium<https://www.lib.washington.edu/commons/events/gis-2024> will be held
on Thursday, May 30th. The Symposium is presented with co-sponsorship from the
UW Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology<https://csde.washington.edu/>.

The GIS Symposium highlights the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS),
remote sensing, and data visualization technologies at the UW. The event will
feature in-person, short talks from the UW GIS community followed by a keynote
presentation on our new
Planet.com<https://guides.lib.uw.edu/research/gis/planet?_gl=1*nytc7t*_ga*MTMxNjIzNzMyNS4xNzAyNTkzMzMx*_ga_63X2ZQHK8P*MTcxMzk3ODQ4NS4xNDAuMS4xNzEzOTc5Njk1LjAuMC4w>
 resource via Zoom.
Give a Presentation!
This event invites students of all levels and experiences to share their unique
