ArcGIS Pro is not so bad once you get use to using it. I promise. One thing I strongly encourage anyone that is migrating over to ArcGIS Pro to do is verify your hardware. ArcGIS Pro has much larger hardware requirements than ArcMap. Don’t assume that just because you have no issues running ArcMap that the same will be true for Pro.
Here are my recommendations for Pro. These are based not only on what Esri recommends but my experience running Pro since 2015 when it was first released. Power User * 6 Core or better Hyperthreaded CPU (Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 or Intel i9 or AMD Ryzen 9) * 64 GB RAM or more * NVIDIA RTX Graphics card (Esri is optimized to make use of NVIDIA Tensor Cores on their GPUs) – RTX 3070 or Quadro RTX A4000 or better * 1 TB Nvme SSD Basic User * 4 Core or better Hyperthreaded CPU (Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5) * 32 GB RAM or more * NVIDIA RTX Graphics card (Esri is optimized to make use of NVIDIA Tensor Cores on their GPUs) any RTX 3000 series or later should work. * 1 TB SSD You might also want to check out my ArcGIS Pro books available via Amazon.
