When I attempt to process a properly formatted file through groff to my hp printer, using:
groff -mm -Tlj4 file | lp I get the message : groff: cannot execute and a blank page. However, when sending the file to my monitor: groff -mm -Tascii file I get appropriate output on the screen. I can also print a file using the pipe to lp: cat file | lp Is there a reason why I cannot pipe the output to the printer?? Thanks. M. E. Lindenmeyer 090526.2012
