1) I recently installed uwin 4.5 and found that a groff script that worked on an earlier version no longer formats and prints as it did before.
The script:

groff -mm -Tlj4 -rd=$dte -rt=`date '+%H%M'` $1.$is > lp

2) Then I discovered that lp returns an error rather than printing to my hp printer as it did before. The error:

lp: syntax error at line 1: `(' unexpected

3) Also, when interrogating my files with 'file', what should be text files appear as ft000001, short text or short english text.

This has never happened before; is there something very different in uwin 4.5 , or am I doing something very wrong?
