Last week I had to reinstall uwin 4.5, as my OS had messed up several programs.

So I set up groff, version 1.20.1 again, and have run into a
problem with how it outputs to my hp printer. The script I have
always used is:

groff -mm -Tlj4 -rL10i -rd=$dte -rt=`date '+%H%M'` $1.$is | lp
and the input file(pcm.126) is:

----
.PH "''- % -''"
.PF "'pcmouse''mel \\\\nd.\\\\nt'"
.DS C
The PC Mouse
.DE
.AL 1

Got a PC Mouse

Purchased ms basic mouse today at Office Depot for $15. Installed
this PM, about 1650. Seems to work fine. Retired the logitech mouse
that came with the Gateway PC and will see if I can get the LH switch
to work. It has a lot of 'bounce'.

-----
The problem I have encountered is that whatever appears in my text
that looks like a printer (or groff?) code prints out whatever that code represents. For instance the word 'office' prints out as o1/2iceand the aspostrophes around bounce print out a strange (like AE) character. Is there a command that tells either the software or the printer to print exactly what it receives and not to interpret
character sequences as codes? I don't remember ever having these problems
before with the same version of groff.

Thanks.
