I exported LPDEST and PRINTER with the value (name) that lpstat
provided, hoping that then lp would send data to my canon mg5220, but
still, while the mg5220 is also windows default printer, when I pipe a
file to lp, I get the lp message number on the screen, but nothing
happens, the printer sits quietly by. Should LPDEST and PRINTER be set
rather to the usb address, and not the name that comes up in lpstat? I
have removed all of the old hp software, so it is not confounding the
issue. Could it be that my uwin installation is still looking for the hp
printer? Is it advisable to reinstall uwin?
