Hi Mel,
I'm experiencing the exact same symptoms with my Canon MG8150. So far, I
haven't been able to track the problem. There seem to be no logbook entries
related to this issue.

The OS is Windows Vista Business SP2, up-to-date with MS's updates... In
the lpstat output you see that the Status is "paper out". This is not the
correct status, printer in fact is ready.
After a while the print will Fail with no reason, and the queue will just
sit there. Also printing to the queue from UWin is unreliable, as about 50%
of the print requests are dropped (I never see them in the queue, and, no,
there is also no print).

Onderwerp: [uwin-users] CANON NON-PRINTING WITH LP
I discovered now that when I send a job to the canon mg5220 via lp that
if the printer is turned off, the job appears in the printer queue (ala
windows printer 'window'), and that when I turn on the canon printer,
the entry disappears and the printer does nothing. Is this to be
expected? Could it be that the canon printer just does not recognize the
data that lp sends it?
This sounds most strange.
Has anyone had similar experiences??
