Uwsgi is actually available in the Ubuntu universe as of 11.10 (oneiric
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/+source/uwsgi). I'm not sure what the
plans are regarding upgrades, but Leonid may be able to jump on if he's
still involved. I'm also not aware of any backporting efforts.
