Nice stationery.
Is the MSD light on with full brightness ?
Mine got wet when I washed my bike before I found out it wasn't water tight
& even after taking it apart & drying everything it still took a couple of
days before the light went completely out while running. Pulled mine apart &
did the best I could to seal it with silicone.

Subject: Fuel Sending unit, MSD light takes bath.

Couple questions:
1) My Stack instrumentation is giving incorrect fuel readings. A quick
talk to PDQ indicates the problem is in the fuel sending unit for the V-Max
whose output is not set up to give increments. They state a unit form a
Bandit 1200 (or any unit that serves an actual graduated gauge) should do
the trick. I can not find anything in the service manual regarding replacing
the fuel sending unit. Is this a involved process?Instructions/suggestions
from anyone on replacing/changing it would be appreciated.
2) Got caught in a real rain storm last night, riding about an hour in
some cold, nasty stuff. Unfortunately the MSD shift light got soaked, and
started shining continuously. Got home, took the housing apart, dried it
carefully with a hair dryer but still was "on" all the time. Checked it a
couple hours later with the same result. Haven't looked at it today yet.
Everything else is fine. Is this thing fried, need to "dry out" more, or
some other electrical culprit?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
