Charles,
Remember ... I slid the gray connector out of my connector, (releases
with a toothpick), and I still got the open, close and short
adjustment movements ... so connecting the gray to the yellow, (RPM
monitor), should not be an issue for "key on" initialization. (bad
rheostat .. bad rheostat ... $5 on bad rheostat .. ;>)
