This sounds excessive. I balance all our race car drag slicks in our shop. A
33"x17"x15" slick on a Weld Pro-Stock rim sometimes needs up to 6 oz. of
weight to get right. More commonly 3-4 is enough. Keep in mind 100gr. is
just under 4 oz. so I can't see you needing this amount. I would suggest
that even 50grams is getting close to the maximum I would expect on a tyre
and rim you are talking about.
