Don,
Isn't that the truth, (wbar & slick), he left quickly ....

I wanted to ask you since I know you are "up" on Works shocks ... (and
anyone for that matter). These people finally got some pictures of
their shocks on their web page ... http://www.worksperformance.com/
... but their catalogue "download" does not works, (ha !! a pun), so
they mailed me one.

Anyhow ... while the line of "trackers" has a very reasonable price
spread ... I was looking in the rear of the catalogue and reading
about their OEM Rear Shock Repair & Service. One of the things they
mention is having a "heart transplant" done to your OEM shock ... It
includes a new piston, ring and valving for each shock. They "claim"
that this is the closest thing to having a Works shock without
actually buying one. They claim as well that if the OEM shock is not
serviceable that they can install a "guts" cartridge ... It is hard to
believe that by the time this is all done that it wouldn't be cheaper
to simply buy a "tracker", (as cheap as $299 for the basic Steel
Tracker), but I was curious if you, (or anyone), were aware of anybody
who may have actually tried this ...

FYI ... if you want to see the ultimate, (ultimate price), for a set
of shocks ... Check out the Dynojet site ... http://www.dynojet.com
and look at the Hyperpro shocks !! The damper lists for $499 now but
the shocks will put you on the floor ... There are two choices for the
Vmax ... the cheap shocks are $999.58, (piggyback reservoir), and the
"OK" ones are $1599.00, (remote reservoir). What a deal !! That is
quite an accomplishment to be able to detach the reservoir for a mere
$600 bucks ... yikes !! They have completely re-done their web site
... (I guess somebody has to pay for that), and have a new catalogue
that can be downloaded, (no more on-line orders either ... have to
call on the phone).
